Holla! It’s the weekend!
My kids finished up their last week of summer swim team. I can practically hear my car rejoicing due to the fact we won’t have to drive back and forth 50 gazillion times to the pool. We finished off the season with a giant party. Water balloon fights, relays, prizes, pizza, ice cream… pretty sure my kids were in heaven. We even had a coaches relay, which I was a part of. I swam my heart out, and oh my gosh… I was tired after that. It’s been too long since I’ve given that much exertion in such a short period. I’ve been training for a marathon and have run up to 11 miles so far, but swimming those two laps of freestyle as fast as I could left me way more tired and out of breath. I’m actually in talks with some of the other coaches to join a Master’s swim team and get back at it. Should be a lot of fun and definitely good for my marathon training!
Ok, so what happened this week on the blog??
MONDAY: I took that delicious Asian Chicken Lettuce Wrap filling that we all love and placed it in a spring roll wrapper for a light and fresh lunch/dinner option. Super good!
