Nancy
Is the zesty Italian dressing mix just a bottled salad dressing?
Shawn
Hi Nancy, no, it’s actually a dry mix found in the salad dressing aisle near where you would find dry ranch mix packets.
Buffie
I made this salad over the weekend and it was delicious! I only omitted the olives. The dressing was so easy and on point! Will be adding this to the rotation. Thank you!
Shawn
Isn’t that dressing AMAZING!?! Glad you enjoyed it Buffie!
Ronny
Hi. By looking t the picture, I notice some purple onion in the bowl? But the recipe does not call for it? I’d think it’d be great to have some in it? Thanks.
Shawn
Hi Ronny, you’re so right! I must have missed it when I was writing the recipe into the recipe card. Thanks for letting me know. I’ve updated the recipe to reflect the onion. Hope you enjoy the salad!
Nancy
Looks easy and good – a great combo. Do you think I could just substitute Italian seasoning for the mix?
By the way, I made your carnitas and they are the bomb. Beats all Mexican restaurants – hands down.
Shawn
Hey Nancy, there are different seasonings in the mix than just Italian seasoning, so it would give you a different taste. You can definitely give it a try and see how it tastes though! 🙂
