These Maid Rite Sandwich Sliders are filled with a creamy and cheesy loose ground beef filling and topped with sesame seeds on a toasted bun.
Serve these flavorful burgers during parties, potlucks or for a busy weeknight dinner.

What Is a Maid Rite Sandwich?
Maid Rite sandwiches are from a popular fast food chain (by the same name), made with a loose ground beef filling. The main difference between a sloppy joe and a Maid Rite sandwich is that the sloppy joe consists of a tomato based sauce, while the maid rite burger does not.
What You’ll Need
Here’s the basic list of ingredients that you’ll need in order to make these cheesy party sliders. As always, you can find the full list of ingredients located in the printable recipe card below.
- Ground Beef – use a lean ground beef if possible
- Onion – stick with a yellow onion for a more sweet flavor
- Seasonings – Garlic, Seasoned Salt and Black Pepper
- Cream Cheese – to help hold the filling together
- Pickled Jalapenos – the kind found in a can or jar, diced small – adds incredible flavor without too much spice
- Mild Cheddar – melts much smoother than a sharp cheddar
- Dinner Rolls – look for a Hawaiian sweet dinner roll that comes in a 12 pack

How To Make Cheeseburger Sliders
Let me show you just how quick and easy it is to make these cheeseburger sliders.
Brown Ground Beef
To start making the loose meat filling you’ll want to brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the onion while browning the meat so it becomes nice and tender.

Once the beef is no longer pink, drain off any excess fat and return the skillet to the stove top.
Next, add in the seasonings along with the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and pickled jalapenos.
The mixture will get nice and creamy, wanting to stick together, making it the perfect filling for our maid rite copycat sliders.
Slice Rolls in Half
Use a large serrated or sharp knife to carefully slice the set of dinner rolls in half, leaving a slab of bottom roll and a slab of top roll. Bonus points if you can do this in one nice line… I always manage to make it wobbly.
But no worries, nobody will care once they taste how delicious these are.

Place the bottom half of the rolls in a casserole dish that has higher sides (this will help when we have to put foil on top before baking).

Add Loose Meat Filling
Layer up the beef mixture over the bottom half of the rolls, then top with more cheddar cheese.
If desired, you could swap out the mild cheddar cheese for American sliced cheddar cheese.
Place the top half of the rolls back over the cheesy filling and then top with a garlic butter mixture.

All that’s left to do is sprinkle the top of the rolls with some sesame seeds, for that signature cheeseburger look.
How Long To Bake Cheeseburger Sliders
To make sure that the inside of these cheeseburgers get nice and gooey with that melty cheese without drying out, we’re going to cover the dish with foil and bake for just 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Then, pull off the foil and continue baking another 10 minutes to allow that top bun to get nice and toasty.
Maid Rite Sandwich Toppings
There are a plethora of topping ideas you can add to these cheeseburger sliders to make them work for your needs. Here are a few ideas that I’ve tried and really love.
- Caramelized Onions – adds a sweet and nutty flavor to the burger filling
- Crispy Bacon – who can say no to bacon?
- Sautéed Mushrooms – swap out the cheddar cheese for provolone and WOW!
- Pickles – serve with a side of pickles for topping after the burgers have finished baking.
- Big Mac Sauce – oh yes, this creamy sauce is the perfect addition to these burgers.

The Perfect Sides
Burgers just aren’t complete without crispy and salty french fries. I like to pick up a bag from the freezer aisle and use my air fryer to whip them up when I’m in a pinch.
Here are a few more delicious side options to complete your meal.
- 4 Ingredient Coleslaw – classy, so easy!
- Creamy Macaroni Salad – a classic combo
- Crispy Baked Potato Skins – for the ultimate game day duo
- Chips and Chip Dip – it’s not a proper party without it

I brought these to my sister in law’s house for a little party and everyone loved them. I know you’re going to love them too!
Party Cheeseburger Sliders Recipe

- 1 lb. ground beef, lean
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp Pickled Jalapeños, diced
- 2 cups mild cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
- 12 dinner rolls, Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef and diced onion in pan until it's no longer pink and onion is tender. Drain off any excess fat from pan and return to stove top.
- Add in the garlic, seasoned salt and pepper and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in the cream cheese, chopped jalapenos and 1 cup of the cheddar cheese, until the mixture is creamy and combined.
- Meanwhile, use a serrated knife to cut the rolls in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9×13" baking dish and then top with the ground beef mixture in an even layer. Top with the remaining cheese. Place the tops of the rolls back on the sandwiches.
- Combine the melted butter with the garlic powder and brush on top of rolls. Sprinkle the tops of the rolls with the sesame seeds. Loosely cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover the dish and continue baking an additional 10 to 12 minutes, until the rolls are browned nicely. Serve hot and enjoy!

We can’t do jalapeños. Any substitution ideas?
