This Chocolate Chip Sticky Bun Ring is a quick and delicious dessert or breakfast recipe!
I am just going to come straight out and say it, I have a weakness for easy meals.
This is one of those super simple breakfast meals that I am definately going to be serving on Christmas morning.
…and maybe every Saturday morning…
Sticky buns that take just minutes to throw together, and seconds to devour.
I need the convenience of fast and simple when I have 4 crazy kids running around wanting/demanding breakfast.
Apparently I have my “hands full” from all of my children. I am not exaggerating when I say that I am told at least once DAILY that I “have my hands full.”
Is it the look of sheer panic on my face when I am carrying a child in one arm, holding another’s hand, screaming to ‘look both ways’ to another, and yelling SLOW DOWN to another??
I’m not sure how to take the, “hands full” comment. Is that a compliment, or just stating the fact that I need to research birth control? Either way, I get it people!
Thanks for the reminder!
In a small bowl add brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Add a little bit of mini chocolate chips. You can add nuts if you’ld like to as well!
Give it a good mix and set aside.
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and mix it with some regular maple syrup. Nothing fancy needed, just you’re plain ol’ pancake syrup will work just fine!.
Sprinkle half the brown sugar mixture on the bottom of a fluted pan. {please trust me when I say that use ONLY a fluted pan. Unless you want to clean your oven.}
Pour half the syrup mixture over the brown sugar mixture.
Open two tubes of the small refrigerated dinner rolls.
Place each roll in the brown sugar mix one at a time, and get some sugar on the front and back.
Layer the rolls in the fluted pan so they are stacked on eachother.
Bake for 20 minutes.
About 3 minutes after I popped these into the oven my boy asks me, “Mom, what is that delicious smell?”
Pull out the buns and invert them onto a big enough plate.
CAUTION– They will be sticky, and gooey, and irresistable. Dig in if you have your hands full! Or if you just want something good to eat!
Do you have a traditional Christmas breakfast? I would love to know what it is!

Could it be only me or does it look like like a few of the remarks appear like left by brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if you are posting on additional places, I would like to keep up with you. This recipe looks DELICIOUS! As an Aussie, I have no idea what “2 small tubes refrigerated dinner rolls” is, I’ve never heard of dinner rolls in a tube before! Is there any way of explaining an equivalent I might use to get the same effect?

Wow, Shawn…those sticky buns look fabulous! They would be great for Christmas. Our tradition is homemade cinnamon rolls but these would be so great for a lazy weekend. Yay for 100 "likes" on Facebook!
