How To Make Cheeseburger Pizza
Not only does this pizza have all the goodness of your favorite cheeseburger, but it also has my absolute favorite sauce as the base… fry sauce!!

Spread your pizza dough out onto a lightly greased pizza pan or flat baking sheet. I brushed the edges with a little egg wash and sprinkled with sesame seeds to achieve that toasted sesame seed bun.
The fry sauce is a must. It’s actually just ketchup, mayo and a touch of hot sauce mixed together. If you haven’t tried it yet, do it. It’s amazing.

Brown some hamburger with some onions and some special seasonings, then sprinkle that over the top.
Follow it up with some shredded cheese, a drizzle of ketchup and mustard and a few slices of dill pickles (trust me… it really makes this pizza!).

How Long To Bake Pizza
Bake pizza in a 425 degree oven for just 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the middle is bubbly and cooked through.
This Cheeseburger Pizza covers both cravings of pizza and burgers.
I love combining favorite dishes together, especially when they turn out SO AWESOME!

For the Pizza Dough:
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour

- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup very warm water
- 3 tbsp olive oil
For the Pizza:
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 4 tbsp ketchup, divided
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 2 cups colby jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup dill pickle chips, (sliced )drained
- Mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12" pizza pan and set aside.
For the Pizza Dough:
- Combine 1 cup four, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add water and oil. Mix until well blended, about 1 minute. Gradually add in enough flour until a soft dough ball is formed. Dough will be slightly sticky.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead the dough, adding additional flour if need, until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 4 minutes). Press the dough out to fit the prepared pizza pan.
For the Pizza:
- Beat the egg with 1 tbsp water and brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash mixture. Sprinkle the edges with the sesame seeds.
- Brown the hamburger in a skillet over medium heat with the seasoned salt, black pepper and diced onion. Cook until no longer pink and drain any excess fat.
- Meanwhile combine the mayo, 2 1/2 tbsp ketchup and the hot sauce in a small dish and whisk until smooth. Spread this mixture over the base of the pizza dough with the back of a spoon. Top with the cooked ground beef.
- Spread the shredded cheese over the top. Drizzle the remaining ketchup and mustard over the top of the pizza, followed by the dill pickle chips.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until center is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy!

DON’T FORGET TO PIN THE RECIPE TO SAVE IT!

This was really good! I make my own sourdough pizza crust, so I used that instead, but the sauce/toppings were spot on!
This was delicious! The only thing I changed was that I bought a pizza crust in a can like biscuits and followed the baking directions on itl
There were 4 of us and we all loved it!
Just made it and i love it!!! Totally using this dough recipe for all my other pizzas from now on too!! Definitely takes more than 10 min prep, but that could just be me.
This was amazing! I felt like it shouldn’t work….but it really did. It was a crowd pleaser. I didn’t drizzle the ketchup or mustard on at the end. I topped the pizza with thinly shredded iceberg lettuce (got the idea from another cheeseburger pizza recipe). Shredded 1/4 head of iceberg in a food processor using the slicing blade. The flavors were amazing. Yum! This will definitely be a keeper in my pizza rotation. I used an Ooni Koda 16 gas pizza oven and homemade dough.
I haven’t made this yet. How much mustard should be added? I a question posted about this but no response.
I only used a teaspoon of seasoned salt and it was still pretty salty(and I like salt!). Was the Tablespoon called for correct?
It was unique, and pretty good, but we decided we like pizza to be pizza and cheeseburgers to be cheeseburgers, lol.
Oh my goodness! I don’t think it was meant to be 1 full tablespoon. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I’ve updated the recipe to just 1 tsp.
Yum! I love the cheeseburger pizza from our local place, but this was even better and saved a trip out in the cold and twenty bucks! This was delicious, and will definitely be making it again.
My husband asked for a cheeseburger pizza. You were my Google search pick and WOW, your recipe did impress! My husband doesn’t like hot sauce but I made the recipe as written and it is a must. I wouldn’t change a thing about this recipe. it’s a keeper in this house. Thank you
Super easy to follow recipe and absolutely loved the home made pizza crust (researched the difference between pizza crust yeast and regular yeast – ordered pizza crust yeast on line and sooooo glad. No more order out pizza this is beyond comparison and hot out of oven. Mustard and pickles give it the special kick to say cheesburger!! Thank You
Yay!! So glad you enjoyed the pizza Lynn! Thank you for the comment!
What is pizza crust yeast and where do you find it? Will regular yeast work?
Pizza crust yeast is basically the same thing as rapid rise yeast.
What is pizza crust yeast? Will regular yeast work the same?
It’s basically a rapid rise yeast. One that doesn’t require two rises.
This cheeseburger pizza recipe was outstanding! My son and husband devoured it! The recipe was easy to follow, and the result was a delicious week day meal for adults and kid alike!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Cheri!
I madr this with the help of my 9 year old daughter! It was fun and EASY!! SUPER Delicious!! Thank you for sharing your recipe – it’s a winner with my family!! The Pickles are what makes this work!!!
I’ve made several different cheese burger pizza recipes, this is my favorite so far.
Yay! So great to hear! Thanks for sharing Craig!
I made this pizza, was amazing. I used a pan pizza rectangle and had oven all the way up too 500 with rack on the very bottom, used only 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp yeast, and 1 tsp oil with 1 cup flour. THANK YOU!
This was disgusting! All I could taste was mustard!
Oh darn! I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy it Pam. I mean… if you’re not a fan of mustard, you can definitely leave it off, or maybe use less next time? Other than the mustard, was everything else ok?
The mustard is the best part!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Then don’t add mustard.
Delicious! Tried it a week ago and am making it again tonight! Thank you for this terrific recipe!
Excellent recipe. I did make a few changes. One change is that I use Chick-fil-A sauce instead of mayonnaise for the sauce.
WOW!! I bet that took it to the next level!
Hey nick you want the same sauce as chick filet try mixing equal amounts of mayo and sweet bay Ray barbecue sauce it tastes exactly like that. I use the the brown sugar kind. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
I made this recipe for a competition in my cooking class at school and it was the biggest hit! Everyone was a little scared at first but it was delicious
Haha! That’s awesome to hear! Glad you all enjoyed it!
I found this looking for a base recipe I could modify into a mushroom swiss cheeseburger pizza. I have yet to actually make this original pizza, but this has become my go-to pizza crust recipe. So easy, and so good!
That’s great to hear!
Total winner! We both loved it.
Fantastic! So glad you enjoyed it!
This is the best pizza resipie I can find.
So glad you enjoyed it Aidan!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I’m going add lettuce and tomato on top as well…all the fixin’s 🙂
Great idea!
The nutritional info says “1 serving”. What exactly is one serving? The whole pie? An eighth? Fourth?
I’ve updated the post to reflect nutritional info, so 1 serving is 1/8th of the pizza. But you can cut more or less slices and calculate differently if you want.
I’m going to do this tonight. One question. I’m confused about the mustard.
I made this to satisfy a pretty intense pregnancy craving, and as a happy accident my skeptical husband ended up loving it as well! Absolutely delicious. Thanks for the recipe!
Haha! So glad you enjoyed it!
You simply need to utilize garnishes that are normally found on a cheeseburger when making the pizza. Instead of utilizing tomato sauce, spread ketchup or grill sauce over the covering since those are two famous fixings for burgers. You could likewise shower hot sauce or mustard over the covering.
You just want to use toppings that are typically found on a cheeseburger when making the pizza. Rather than using tomato sauce, spread ketchup or barbecue sauce over the crust since those are two popular condiments for burgers. You could also drizzle hot sauce or mustard over the crust.
This was so good!!! Burger/cheesebuger pizza was on the to-do list for a long time and this recipe was exactly what we needed. Fry sauce—AWESOME! Thank you so much for sharing!
Sweet! So glad you enjoyed it!
A very great recipe it is a must try one.
Thankyou for this great recipe i request do share such content often
Really delicious recipe! Thanks.
Note: I did greatly reduce the amount of seasoned salt. I felt like 1 tbsp would have been major overkill. 1/2-3/4 tsp was sufficient for me!
Wish I would have seen the note about reduced seasoned salt. We used almost a tablespoon and it was way to salty! Otherwise a very delicious pizza and crust!!!
I’m glad you guys enjoyed the recipe! 🙂
Very well recipe, I was looking for this. Thanks to share your experience and this delicious recipe.
I LOVE pickles, but the bread and butter jalapeno pickles would be out of sight on this.
There is no rising time with this dough? I am going to make this tonight. Looks great!
Made this over the weekend and you’re totally right, those pickles totally make this pizza! My husband loved it and so did I!
Awesome! So glad you guys loved it! 🙂
