Can I leave the yogurt out completely??
The muffins will be more dense without the yogurt, but I think it would work.
These were so easy to make (I substituted the yogurt with sour cream since I only had it available). My picky eater even loved these. I made them mini-sized for him. Thanks for the recipe!
Fantastic! So glad you enjoyed them!
Thanks for the awesome recipe .. just tried it , worked out well
Fantastic! So glad you enjoyed the muffins Audrey!
the same recipe would work as just a banana bread loaf, correct? (instead of muffins).
thanks!
bad news – i tried this as a loaf last night, cooked it a little bit longer so it would cook all the way through – tried the toothpick test and it seemed good.. and the middle of the loaf collapsed overnight! apparently some other modifications needed to be made :/
Oh darn! Sounds like it just didn’t cook all the way in the middle. I do have a Banana Chocolate Chip Bread that is perfection, I would try this recipe for best results in a loaf – https://iwashyoudry.com/one-bowl-chocolate-chip-banana-bread/
Hi Keri, This recipe would work in a loaf. The cooking time would increase to 50 min. – 1 hour. Hope this helps!
Could you use sour cream or regular vanilla yogurt instead of Greek?
Sour cream would be fine to substitute. I have not tested this recipe with regular yoghurt.
Can these be frozen? Thanks!
Definitely!
How do you interoperate the apple sauce into the recipe?
You can replace the butter with unsweetened applesauce! Use 1/3 cup applesauce instead of 1/3 cup butter. 🙂
Can I sub out vanilla yogurt for the greek yogurt and also gluten free flour for the all purpose flour?
You can definitely use vanilla greek yogurt, but I’m not sure on the gluten free flour. I’ve never tested this recipe using anything but all purpose.
