How To Make Bacon-Wrapped JalapeƱo Poppers

It’s super simple to put this easy popper recipe together! Remember to preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with foil and baking spray.

Prepare JalapeƱos

Use gloves or extra care when slicing the jalapeƱos in half, lengthwise. use a small spoon to scoop out all the seeds and membranes to hollow out the jalapeƱo halves. Set aside.

PRO TIP: If you don’t have gloves and are sensitive to jalapeƱo juices, you can use two sandwich bags over your hands. Be careful not to touch your eyes!

Wrap Poppers with Bacon

Use a  half strip of bacon to wrap around the filled jalapeƱo popper and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake

The JalapeƱos need to bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy. Carefully remove from the baking sheet and enjoy while warm.

Recipe Tips and Variations

  • Make sure to use regular cut bacon, not thick cut. Otherwise it will take too long to bake and not be crispy!
  • Serve these poppers with a side of sour cream or salsa.
  • You can swap out cheddar cheese with another mild-flavored or spicy cheese (like pepper jack) for a fun twist!
