There is nothing better than a quick and healthy breakfast smoothie to start a day.
Smoothies are easy to make in general, but by adding all the ingredients to a (regular mouthed) mason jar, you are able to customize an individual smoothie to your liking!

Don’t forget about dairy when it comes to a healthy & balanced diet. Calcium is a very important bone-building mineral that also helps to slim the body.
Oh yeah, baby!
With a handful of frozen berries, a little fat free yogurt and some low fat milk, this Wild Berry Breakfast Smoothie is full of beneficial vitamins and bone healthy calcium. Not to mention extremely tasty!

You can blend the granola right in the smoothie or spoon a little on top for a delightful crunch.
Either way you’re gonna love it.
If you’re not a fan of the berry blend, mix it up with your favorite frozen fruit. Switch out the strawberry yogurt for some vanilla, or give it a little more sweetness by subbing milk for a low fat chocolate milk.

The variations are endless… so get going!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries)
- 1/2 cup low fat (or fat free) strawberry yogurt
- 1 cup low fat milk
- 1-2 tbsp granola
Instructions
- Pour the milk, yogurt and frozen berries into a 1/2 quart sized jar (with a regular mouth opening).
- You can add the granola to the jar and blend it with the berries and milk or save the granola for after it's done blending. It's up to you.
- To blend in the mason jar: remove the blade base of your blender pitcher and simply attach it to the mouth of the mason jar by screwing it on. Secure it tightly then flip the jar upside down and blend for 20-30 seconds, or until desired consistency.
- Sprinkle with granola and Enjoy!
Notes
Optionally you can make this in a regular blender, and even double the recipe to serve two! :)

Hi Tanya! You can use your favorite type of granola. I wouldn’t use one with raisins in it if you’re going to blend the granola into the smoothie though. Hope that helps!
My husband is addicted to smoothies right now. This one looks good.
