Happy 4th of July!

28 years ago today, one of my favorite persons was born! My lovely, smart, talented, and gorgeous sister!!

To celebrate the day of her birth, the whole United States of America enjoys BBQ’s, swimming, and of course FIREWORKS!! And why not!?!? She’s simply amazing!

I was in charge {well, I sort of pleaded asked to do it} of making her birthday cake this year! A job that I do not take lightly. I went all out this year with homemade fondant, homemade cream cheese frosting, and 5 {yes you heard}, 5 layers of cake! (Trust me, she’s worth it!!)

The result was magnificent! I am sure there are plenty of bakers out there that will scoff at this cake, but for me, this was brilliant! Please remember folks, I am in NO WAY a baker… I prefer to cook, and I am in NO WAY a great cook either {but we can pretend right?}.

When the cake was cut, jaws dropped! My sister’s own American Flag Birthday Cake! I think she was happy, and that’s all that mattered! Happy Birthday Sis! I Love ya!
In honor of this CELEBRATORY day, I wanted to let you know that I am going to be doing a little GIVEAWAY!! Not for just one person…but for TWO!!
{Come back tomorrow to find out what YOU could win!!}
