If you’re looking for an easy way to prepare a small ham for your family, this Easter Sheet Pan Dinner is just what you need.
Filled with roasted potatoes and carrots with a delicious brown sugar and honey glazed ham – all prepared on just one pan in UNDER 1 HOUR!

I have a killer recipe for a Slow Cooker Ham that I swear by, but it’s for a BIG ham. What if you’re only needing a little bit of ham? That’s where this sheet pan recipe comes in!
A Small-Scale Easter Dinner
I keep calling this sheet pan ham an “Easter dinner” but it could definitely be served any time of the year. It’s perfect for a simple Sunday meal with the family.
With just a few basic ingredients and less than an hour from prepping the recipe to enjoying, it’s a home run meal.
Ingredients Needed
Here’s the basic list of ingredients you’ll need in order to make this small Easter dinner. As always, you can find the full list of ingredients located in the printable recipe card below.
- Ham – look for the smaller, pre-cut ham near the packaged deli meats. It should be fully cooked, only needing to be reheated.
- Baby Red Potatoes – no need to peel these potatoes as they have thin peels and a creamy potato center.
- Carrots – peel and cut the carrots into 1/2 inch slices or use baby carrots if desired.
- HAM GLAZE
- Brown Sugar – for a deep caramelized flavor
- Honey – adds that perfect touch of sweetness
- Dijon Mustard – a little zip and tang
- Butter – for a balanced glaze
- Apple Cider Vinegar – just a bit for a pop of flavor

How To Make It
From start to finish, this recipe comes together so fast!
SEASON CARROTS AND POTATOES
Start by tossing your carrots and potatoes in a little bit of avocado oil, and coat with the seasonings.

WRAP HAM IN FOIL
Create a foil pouch for the ham and place the ham in the center of the sheet pan. By wrapping the ham in the foil, it will allow the ham to stay nice and juicy while it slowly heats up.
Spread out the carrots and potatoes around the ham in an even layer.

MAKE HAM GLAZE
Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Meanwhile create the ham glaze by combining the ingredients in a microwave safe dish. I prefer to use my pyrex glass measuring cup because it has high sides. The mixture will bubble up slightly in the microwave, so the high sides are perfect to prevent the glaze from overflow.

MICROWAVE IN SMALL BURSTS
Combine the brown sugar ham glaze in the measuring cup and microwave in small bursts (30 second intervals), stirring in between.
Once the glaze has thickened slightly (it will stick to the spoon and slowly drip off after about 2 minutes), then it’s ready for glazing the ham.

BRUSH GLAZE ON HAM
Remove the sheet pan from the oven and stir the potatoes and carrots.
Carefully open up the foil with the ham in it, leaving the ham inside the foil. Brush half of the glaze over the top of the ham, reserving some for later.
PRO TIP – I love using this silicone basting brush for sticky glazes because it cleans up so nicely.

CONTINUE BAKING
Leave the ham unwrapped with the glaze on top and place the sheet pan back in the oven for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, until the potatoes and carrots are tender and the ham reaches an internal temperature of at least 125 degrees F.
The ham glaze will brown nicely on the edges of the ham slices, while making the center sweet and juicy in each bite.
Keeping the ham in the foil will prevent the juices from flowing to the potatoes and carrots, giving them each their own distinct flavor, without everything tasting the same (as can what happen in sheet pan meals).

Feel free to brush a little more of that sweet and sticky brown sugar glaze over the top of the ham before serving. It’s delicious.
Tips and Substitutions
I love how adaptable sheet pan meals are. Here are a few easy swaps and my top tips for making this meal the very best.
CARROTS – if you’re not into carrots, feel free to swap them out with a hearty vegetable like Brussels Sprouts, Green Beans or Cauliflower. If you’re wanting to add a more delicate vegetable like asparagus, zucchini or peppers, add those to the sheet pan in the last 20 minutes of cooking.
POTATOES – swap with baby gold potatoes if desired. If you want to use russet (baking) potatoes, cut them into smaller pieces so they cook more evenly.
HAM – look for a ham that is pre-sliced to make it even easier to prepare. If it’s not sliced, use a sharp knife to make the cuts prior to cooking. The sliced ham will heat thru faster.
What To Serve With Easter Dinner
This Easter Sheet Pan Recipe is basically a whole dinner in itself, but here are a few simple side dishes that will round it all out – making it one unforgettable meal.
- Homemade Dinner Rolls – light and fluffy, don’t forget the butter!
- Cucumber Tomato Salad – a cool and crisp salad with a light and zippy dressing.
- Carrot Cake – finish off the meal with a moist and delicious cake, topped with a cream cheese frosting!

This super quick meal is perfect for your Easter celebration or just a simple way to get dinner on the table without a lot of fuss.
Either way, I can’t wait for you to give it a try!
Easter Ham Sheet Pan Meal
Ingredients
- 2 lb ham, precooked, sliced*
- 1.5 lb baby red potatoes, halved
- 1 lb carrots, cut into 1/2" slices
- 2 tbsp avocado oil, divided
- 1 tsp salt, divided
- ½ tsp pepper, divided
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp parsley, dried
Ham Glaze Ingredients
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- ½ tbsp butter
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Unwrap the ham and place on a large sheet of foil, creating a pouch for it, so any juices remain inside. Seal it closed and place in the middle of a large sheet pan.
- Toss the cut baby potatoes in 1 tbsp avocado oil, then season with ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper, ¼ tsp garlic powder and ¼ tsp parsley flakes. Place the potatoes in an even layer on one side of the sheet pan.
- Toss the sliced carrots with the remaining avocado oil (1 tbsp), salt (½ tsp) and pepper (¼ tsp). Place on the sheet pan on the opposite side of the ham in a single layer.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
Ham Glaze
- While the dinner is baking, combine the ham glaze ingredients in a microwave safe dish, preferably one with higher sides so it does not bubble over. Microwave the glaze in 30 second increments, until the glaze begins to thicken slightly (approximately 2 minutes total).Use caution – this mixture will be very hot!
- Remove the sheet pan from the oven and stir the potatoes and carrots. Unwrap the ham, leaving the bottom of the foil pouch still intact, exposing the top of the ham. Brush half of the ham glaze over the ham and return the sheet pan to the oven.
- Continue cooking for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, until the potatoes and carrots are tender and the ham is at least 120 degrees F. Brush the ham with the remaining glaze if desired just before serving. Enjoy!

400° is way to hot for a pre cooked ham. It will dry out

Not to worry! Wrapping the ham in foil, creates a pocket to trap the steam and moisture in there. It’ll stay nice and juicy!
