A few months back my sister in law made this gorgeous chocolate layer cake for my mother in law’s birthday. It was two layers of chocolate cake filled with a layer of dulce de leche and then frosted with this delicious chocolate cream cheese frosting. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it also tasted AMAZING!

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

This light and fluffy chocolate cream cheese frosting is perfect for topping cupcakes or layer cakes!

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, cold
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy then add in vanilla.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder in ½ cup intervals, mixing between each addition until the frosting is light and fluffy and fully combined.

Notes

Frosting should be kept in the fridge once used.
