I feel like we just barely started 2012 last week, and now we are thisclose to bidding it farewell.
This past year has been incredible. I have met so many wonderful bloggers and have sparked such fantastic friendships. I truly feel blessed to be where I am. Just a couple nights ago we said goodbye to our lovely house in Arizona and packed up all our earthly possessions into a 24 foot trailer. We are spending the Holidays with family in Utah before heading north {on a 6 day journey} to Canada where my husband will be working. It’s an adventure, and we feel blessed to have a job and be together as a family.
Before the year ends I wanted to reminisce about your top ten favorite recipes from I Wash…You Dry. These 10 posts were the most viewed recipes, by you {my readers} !
To make things more exciting, I’ll start with #10, and work my way to #1.
#10 : Crock Pot Sweet Potato Casserole
This Crock Pot Sweet Potato Casserole is so easy to whip up and opens up some room in the oven for the main course. No wonder it’s one of your favorites! My sister had Thanksgiving dinner at her house this year and she made this recipe for everyone. It was a huge hit, and totally made my day.
#9: Pumpkin Gooey Cake
Oh how I love pumpkin. I first made my Pumpkin Gooey Cake for a Church function and it was gone in no time. I made it again, and it quickly vanished. It’s just one of those easy desserts that you’ll find yourself making over and over again.
#8: How To Bake a Spaghetti Squash
We eat Spaghetti Squash all the time in my house. Especially when I am on a health kick. I don’t know about you, but I foresee a new health kick starting up in about 1 weeks time. Baking a Spaghetti Squash is simple, and in your eighth favorite post of 2012, I show you just how to do it!
#7: Chili’s Chocolate Molten Lava Cake
You’re nuts about chocolate and so am I. It’s a no brainer why my Chocolate Molten Lava Cake made the top ten. It’s completely delicious and mind blowingly easy to make. If you haven’t seen this gem yet, then check it out. Pronto.
#6: Pumpkin Yogurt Pound Cake
Let’s face it, pumpkin has a special place in my heart. Right next to my kids and Johnathan Taylor Thomas. Apparently it’s also close to you’re heart too, cause my Pumpkin Yogurt Pound Cake made it all the way to #6! Or maybe it’s the Salted Caramel Drizzle that got you hooked? Either way, this pound cake is the bomb diggity.
#5: Avocado Egg Rolls with Creamy Cilantro Ranch Dip
Oh. Em. Gee. You guys totally rock. These Avocado Egg Rolls are so delicious. I am an avocado addict, and I could probably use therapy for it. Just last night I popped open an avocado and just scooped out the green goodness with corn chips. I have problems. Tasty, delicious problems.
#4: Skinny Pumpkin Pie Cannolis
I have a feeling you guys only love me for my pumpkin recipes. I can work with that. I love these Pumpkin Pie Cannolis too, and let me tell you why. These were the first recipe that I ever did on TV! It was nerve wrecking, but I pulled it off, and I am just waiting for my big break. ahem… Pioneer Woman… scoot over!
#3: Bento Lunch Ideas
Have you hit the Bento Lunch craze yet? If you are still brown-bagging it, you’re waaaaay in the past. This year we ditched the plastic baggies and upgraded for the more eco-friendly Bento Lunch boxes. It makes making lunches for my kids so much easier in the mornings. You guys loved all the ideas I threw at ya in my Saturday Morning Roundup of Bento Lunches that it made it into the TOP 3!!
#2: Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream
Ok, you’re right. Pumpkin is totally where it’s at. Just looking at this Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream makes me want to dive into a can of pumpkin and do a little jig. If you do anything this year {and you don’t have much time left}, you need to make this ice cream. Like, seriously peeps. Do it.
#1: How To Bake a Potato
You must enjoy a crispy, salted skinned potato with insides soft and fluffy, because my tutorial on how to make The Perfect Baked Potato was at the top of your list this year! Baked Potatoes are a staple in my house. With 4 kids, it’s an inexpensive way to fill their bellies. Fill them up with toppings of your choice, and it’s a full blown meal!
