Can I share my newest obsession with you?
It’s called Gourmet Gardens, and I if you’ve been following my recipes for the past few weeks you may have seen me use these wonderful herbs several times.
Gourmet Gardens is a great company that takes fresh Organic herbs and does all the chopping and prepping for you. They place the freshly chopped herbs into these tubes with no artificial flavors or colors, for us to be able to use on a daily basis in our cooking.
If you’re a horrible gardener like me, and can’t keep those herbs alive. This will change your life.
Well… at least your cooking life.
They can be stored in your fridge for up to 3 months, and freezer for up to 6 months. {seriously, how awesome is that?}
Because there is no water, just herbs, in these tubes; they can come straight from your freezer to be used in your recipe.
That is where I keep mine, and I L-O-V-E it!
I made a very, very simple marinade for some Ribeye Pork Chops thanks to Gourmet Gardens Basil and Garlic.
(Do you see those numbers in the red circle on the front of the tubes? That is the number of fresh {basil/garlic/dill etc.} inside each tube.)
In a small dish combine some extra virgin olive oil with Gourmet Gardens basil and garlic.
Give it a little stir to combine.
Brush it on both sides of your ribeye pork chops.
The aroma from this fresh marinade is absolutely heavenly.
By using the Gourmet Gardens it really brings out the fresh flavor of those herbs.
Heat up the grill, and cook them chops to your liking.
Thanks to Gourmet Gardens, you can have some fresh and tasty pork chops without the hassle of chopping and mincing herbs.
You can find these fun tubes in the produce section of your grocery store. Check out their website for more information. They also have a store locator feature to find them in a store near you. (they are all about making life easier)

my favorite herb and the moment is cilantro. It used to be basil, but I’ve been on a cilantro kick for about a year now and it’s not going away anytime soon.
and I LOVE Gourmet Garden’s cilantro when I don’t plan out my week well enough and run out of cilantro. Their cilantro is great!

Great step by steps and nice pics! I should eat more regular pork instead of it always being shredded in tacos 🙂 Right now I’m digging basil but love my rosemary!

My fave is lemon thyme, but the one that interests me the most from this company is the lemon grass, that is hard to find around here.
