Make family dinner time extra special with these Crispy Shrimp Tacos with Mango-Cranberry Salsa!
Being that I’m a mother to 4 amazing children, I have a lot to say when it comes to our dinner time routine. We’ve always made it a priority to eat dinner together as a family from the get-go, and I feel that it’s really made a huge impact in our children’s lives.
That’s why I’m excited to partner with SeaPak during National Seafood Month for their Shrimptacular promotion! They’re bringing families together around the dinner table with loads of shrimp inspired recipes.
They did a little research and discovered that the US is currently ranking 33rd out of 35 countries in the world when it comes to sharing a family meal together. The key to a happy and healthier family is not necessarily just sitting down to eat together, but rather to sit together and converse.
You know… that thing where your mouth moves and words come out?
My older two kids have iPods (arg! Minecraft!), so we’ve made it a rule that during dinner time we turn off all screens (they’ve even had to remind us grown-ups a couple times to leave the iPads and phones off the table) (arg! Pinterest!).
When we sit around the table for dinner, each child is given a turn to talk about their favorite AND least favorite part of their day. Even my husband and I talk about our days to the kids and let them in on our highs and lows. We feel it’s important to let our kids understand the struggles that naturally happen to us so when they’re faced with struggles in their own lives they will be that much more prepared to handle them on their own. It’s not all rainbows and puppies over here, after all.
Dinner time is something that I truly look forward to because we slow down and unplug from the world. And what better way to do that than with some amazing Crispy Shrimp Tacos?!
SeaPak sent me a big box of their Popcorn Shrimp to try out and get inspired with. I’ve been wanting to create my own crispy shrimp for a while, but the thought of having to do all the breading of said shrimp myself is tiresome. I loved being able to pop these shrimp in the oven and in just a few minutes have hot and crispy shrimp, ready to enjoy.
I paired the crispy popcorn shrimp with some mango-cranberry salsa from my Sweet Fire Shrimp Bowls… because seriously, that stuff is amazing! I even used some Thai Sweet Chili Sauce paired with a little greek yogurt to make a delicious creamy sauce to drizzle on top of our tacos!
This beautiful girl is my niece! I was visiting my family in Utah when I made these Crispy Shrimp Tacos and she just couldn’t resist these gorgeous tacos. Isn’t she adorable?!

This was an amazing dinner! Although our boys are teens they still steer away from most veggies. I made sure to toss in some french fries as their filler- i mean whats fried shrimp without fries;) my husband and i agreed the salsa (which i added avacado and cilantro) and the cabbage (which i used all of your ingredients and made like a cole slaw for the tacos) felt as if we were eating an expensive dinner out! I am amazed at the taste, texture and PRICE of the popcorn shrimp by SeaPac. He was stationed in St Croix last year and said all of it tasted like some island tacos! This is my 5th recipe I have made from your site and we have enjoyed each one!! Simple to make, ingredients you usually have on hand and something the whole family will love! Thank you so much for giving us our family dinners back! And thanks SeaPac- I’m sold and will definitely try more of your products!
That’s so great to hear! I’m so glad you and your boys enjoyed the tacos! 🙂
Trying these tonight, should of looked up how to cut up a mango first before trying to slice right down the centre lol!!
Genius! Might actually get my husband to enjoy mango!
You seriously make the most beautiful food!

Thank you Faith! 🙂
Wow – 33 out of 35 is bad. I think it’s awesome that you ask your kids about the best and worst parts of their day. That’s real life right there and I love it! These tacos look amazing!
Thanks Liz! 🙂
