Cascade Platinum Giveaway

Even before I started my blog, I knew I wanted my to name it I Wash You Dry.

I love cooking and baking because I can be creative and adventurous in the kitchen, but I have never been a fan of doing the dishes. Tie me up and torture me why don’t you?

After living without a dishwasher for nearly a year, and being forced to literally wash and dry all of our dishes I was thrilled to be reunited with a dishwasher. It’s definitely a luxury people tend to take for granted. I know I did before I went without one.

I was sent some of Cascade’s new Platinum dishwasher detergent to try out, and I am totally hooked. First thing that I love about it is that it comes in pre measured doses so I am not having to measure out, and potentially spill any cleaner. I normally use a cleaner that comes in little wrappers, so when I found out that these Platinum packets come in a self dissolving casing I was sold. Now I don’t even have to deal with wrappers and touching the detergent anymore.

Cascade Platinum

The very first time I ran a load of dishes with Cascade Platinum I put in a food storage container that had seen better days {it had that awful ring of red spaghetti sauce stained into it}. When the load was done my dishwasher had flipped the Tupperware right side up, and it was filled with water. Not always fun to deal with, but this is actually a normal thing for my crazy powerful dishwasher. I dumped the water out of the plastic Tupperware and grabbed a paper towel to wipe it clean. Then the most amazing thing happened… the red stain wiped away like magic!!

I’m pretty sure it had something to do with the hot water and Cascade Platinum sitting in the Tupperware, and the fact that Cascade Platinum has the cleaning power of Dawn inside of it. Which only increases my love of Dawn products.

  8. I have a dishwasher and use it once in a while. I find I end up doing the dishes by hand just so I know they are done and put away. Silly me!

  10. At my home, I load he unloads. At my Mother’s home, I was a life long dryer until the end of her life. The name of your blog is what brought me here.

  13. I am definitely a washer but I drip dry on a rack. I spend a ton of time handwashing dishes due to cooking three meals a day. I have four kids, so I have them put their dishes in the dishwasher and I pretty much wash everything else. This keeps me from having to run it every day (my most unfavoritest chore is actually putting away dishes!).

  18. I wash dishes every time there are a few items in the sink. I like to do small batches so they will all fit in the dish rack to air dry. Sometimes I don’t even wait until they are completely dry before putting them away.
