Butterfinger Protein Shake

I’m guessing you have some chocolate protein powder hiding in the back of your pantry. Perhaps it found a spot on top of your fridge? There ya go!

Pull it out, dust it off, and get ready to enjoy those morning protein shakes again because this Butterfinger Protein Shake will knock your socks off!

Butterfinger Protein Shake

Surprisingly, there are zero Butterfingers harmed in this delicious shake.

The combination of chocolate protein powder, protein rich peanut butter, and a little bit of sugar free butterscotch pudding mix makes a guilt free shake that tastes exactly like a liquified butterfinger candy bar.

You’re welcome!

Butterfinger Protein Shake

Some days I’ll mix it with almond milk, some days I mix it with regular milk… either way, it still tastes incredible. In fact, I look forward to my filling breakfast treat every day! Keeps me full until lunch time, which is a definite bonus for this full time food blogger!

I use the Shakeology Chocolate Protein Powder, but I’m sure any chocolate protein powder would give you the same results.

Mmmmmm…sounds yummy! Stopping at the grocery store tomorrow to get some butterscotch pudding! 🙂
I never bought protein powder yet, I use the chocolate Carnation Breakfast Shake, it should do for now.
I know it’s not the right place, but would you have breakfast recipes (shakes or others) that include lots of iron?
I often add hemp powder, spinach, avocado to my smoothies, but since I have a very low iron level count, I’m always looking for new recipe ideas.

I discovered your site through Skinnytaste’s Facebook page. Love you both! 🙂

I used an Aldi brand and it was just delicious. The protein powder was called Elevation and they have Chocolate and Vanilla and it’s a huge tub in our store for only 13 dollars.

I made this the other great and it tasted great; however, it came out more of an icy consistency instead of milkshake. What can I do to make it more of a milkshake consistency?

    1. Hi Becca, since we’re putting ice into the smoothie, it will be more of a smoothie rather than a milkshake. You could try running it longer in the blender to break up any chunks of ice that remain. But if you’re wanting a milkshake, replace the ice with ice cream… 😉 But then you’re having more of a dessert than a protein smoothie. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. haha.
