Last week I rented a car to drive to California for Camp Blogaway.
Since I have 4 children, I drive a not-so-gas-friendlyvehicle. Plus, I was nice enough to leave the big car at home with The Man while he had the pleasure of being a “stay-at-home dad” for the weekend. That way he wasn’t stranded and still had a way to escape.
I was given one of those economy size vehicles. It was the one that the giant life sized hamsters dressed up like hip-hop Moguls ride around in, (to be exact.)
It was small, but it was only me in the car, so what-evs!
I took full advantage of the situation.
Loud music, singing at the top of my lungs, steering-wheel drumming… the whole shebang.
After getting several odd looks from other drivers on the road, I remembered why I don’t usually do that in the first place.
Personally I feel that your car it’s like your safe zone.
My house is always for the most part nice and tidy. That way if someone just happens to drop by unannounced I look like I have my life somewhat together.
It’s all smoke and mirrors people.
Just one look into my car and you’ll see the real me! I’m the one who panics if you ask for a ride, while I’m throwing empty Diet Dr. Pepper bottles and old junk mail in the back seat.
Then I’m constantly apologizing for my trashed car while you’re in the passenger seat most likely trying not to let your arm touch the arm rest.
I also don’t miss an opportunity to blame it on my kids. {don’t act like you wouldn’t either}
They are easy scape goats when they can’t talk back.
So getting a fresh, clean rental car was a nice change of pace.
It wasn’t long into my drive till I had accumulated some empty Diet Dr. Pepper bottles, napkins, and papers on on the passenger seat.
Some habits die hard.
If you have a habit of wanting delicious food in no time at all, then we have something in common.
This sandwich is no joke.
It comes together fast, and is packed full of great bold flavors. If you’re a lover of buffalo chicken wings, this has your name written all over it.
Here is the debate that happens between me and The Man when it comes to our wings.
Ranch or Blue Cheese?
In the case of this little slider, I did the un-thinkable.
I combined the flavors for one, out-of-this world Buffalo Chicken & Blue Cheese Slider.
The ranch adds a creamy base, while the blue cheese kicks up the flavor to full gear deliciousness. The chicken is not only marinated in Frank’s RedHot Wing Sauce, it’s also smothered in between the ranch and blue cheese for an extra boost of finger lick’n good heat.
These little sliders are perfect for this summer. Blasting the heat in your mouth, and leaving you begging for more.
But in all seriousness, they are quick to make, delicious, and there’s no bones about it. {ha- get it? “no bones” about it? ha!}
Oh, and don’t forget to clean out your car!

These sound fantastic, Shawn! I'm a "sing at the top of the lungs" while driving kind of gal too, so I can relate to your drive. It was such a pleasure to meet you last weekend.
