When the craving for a soft and buttery breadstick hits, satisfy it with these Small Batch Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks!
Remember last week when I invited you into my kitchen and showed you all the fun things I did to remodel it? Well… one of my newest favorite gadgets is my new Blendtec Designer 725 blender.
It’s ahhhhh-mazing!!
I have used my new blender nearly every single day, sometimes more than once a day since I opened the box. The super 3.8 peak horsepower motor and several preprogrammed blend speeds can whip up just about any concoction in no time!
Then there is the Twister Jar! Ultra thick shakes, nut butters, hummus, baby food and even bread dough are just a few seconds away with this bad boy!
I’m so in love with this awesome duo that I want to give one of you the chance to WIN them!
But first…
Let me show you how you can make breadsticks in your blender…
WHAT?!
Yes.
Breadsticks in your blender!
I realize I could have shown you how to make a smoothie or a shake, or even some almond butter…
But have you ever made a bowl of spaghetti or a plate of lasagna and thought… man, I could really go for some breadsticks right now!
Not a giant batch, but just enough to satisfy that craving. Well, here ya go!
With this simple recipe you can have 4 light and fluffy breadsticks that are slathered in a garlic and rosemary infused butter then sprinkled with parmesan cheese, in no time!
It couldn’t be easier too!
Just pop a little warm water, yeast and sugar in your twister jar and pulse 2 times. Let the yeast activate and then add the salt, olive oil and flour. Pulse about 10 more times and twist the Twister Jar lid counter clockwise until a dough ball forms. Let it sit there and double in size.
Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, roll into ropes and place in a small baking dish. Lightly cover it and let it rise again until it’s doubled in size.
Pop them in the oven and bake until golden brown!
As soon as they come out of the oven brush them down with a mixture of melted butter, crushed rosemary and lots of garlic salt.
Oh man… these breadsticks are so good!
It’s probably a good thing for my will power that I make these in a small batch.
Don’t be afraid of working with yeast with this super simple recipe. Let the Twister Jar do the work for you!

Small Batch Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water, warm
- 1 tsp active yeast, dry
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
For the Butter Topping:
- 3 tbsp butter, melted, divided
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
- 1/2 tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Add the first 3 ingredients to the Twister Jar and place the Twister Lid on jar. Hold the Twister Lid and with other hand press "Pulse" 2 times and allow yeast to proof 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add the salt, olive oil and flour in that order and place Twister Lid on jar. Hold Twister Lid and with other hand press "Pulse" 6 to 8 times until all the flour is incorporated and dough ball forms. Remember to turn Twister Lid counter-clockwise during blending.
- Allow the dough to rise in the jar with the lid secure until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Remove dough from Twister Jar and divide into 4 equal size balls. Roll the balls into ropes and place in a lightly greased baking pan or on a baking sheet. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a small dish and brush the tops of the breadsticks. Lightly cover with a tea towel and let rise again until double in size.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes (or until golden brown) in a 375 degree F oven.
- Combine the butter topping ingredients in a small bowl and brush over the breadsticks once they come out of the oven. Enjoy hot!
