Hip Hip Hooray! It’s National Hummus Day!! I figured what better way to celebrate than to team up with Sabra and give you a reason to eat more hummus.

This Easy Mexican Layered Hummus Dip is one of my all time favorite ways to enjoy hummus! You’re going to love the layers and flavors that are in this dip, not to mention how easy it is to make!
This is so easy, that I’ve dubbed it… wait for it… THE EASIEST!
Let me tell you something that is not so easy… taking all your kids to the grocery store with you before dinner.
I’ll admit it’s been a while since I dragged all four of my kids to the store. Usually I get the grocery shopping done during the day while they are at school, but the other day time got away from me and we needed some things for dinner and I though, hey… I’ll bring the kids…
Yeah, no. What was I thinking?!
About 2.3 minutes into the store my kids started begging for basically a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. they laid their eyes on. I was starting to get hangry, and so were the kids.
We grabbed our favorite Supremely Spicy Hummus from Sabra and a couple bags of tortilla chips.
We knew exactly what was happening when we got home. This easy Mexican layered dip! No brainer.
We were able to get out of the grocery store with just one meltdown…
After I picked myself up off the floor we drove home, unloaded the groceries and proceeded to devour an entire container of this hummus filled with all the taco topping we could find.
The creamy chick peas taste just like refried beans, and they spicy chilies are cooled down slightly by the sour cream and fresh pico de gallo. (bonus points if you use Sabra’s pico de gallo!)

Easy Mexican Layered Hummus Dip
This quick and easy dip is a perfect way to enjoy your Unofficial Meal!

- Yield: serves 4 to 6 1x

- Cuisine: Mexican
- 1 (10oz) container Supremely Spicy Sabra Hummus*
- 1/2 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp pico de gallo
- 2 tbsp sliced black olives
- freshly chopped cilantro for garnish
- Open the container of Supremely Spicy Sabra Hummus.
- Layer the ingredients in this order: cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, black olives and freshly chopped cilantro.
- Serve with tortilla chips, fresh cut veggies or as a dip for your burrito.
*If you’re not a fan of spicy, try the classic hummus. My other favorite is the Chipotle Hummus for a nice smoky/spicy flavor.
