When that 3pm hunger strikes, be prepared with these California Avocado Toasts! With these four easy variations you’re going to want to make a new one each day!
I’m a huge fan of snacking. But what I love most about choosing those creamy California Avocados is that I know I’m getting something good for me, and they taste great too! When paired with cheeses, nuts, and even fresh berries, they’re the ideal snack!
This first toast is one of my all time favorites. It may seem a little weird at first, but all the flavors pair really well with each other.
I mash up just 1/4 of a ripe avocado and smear it on a piece of toasted whole wheat bread. Then I sprinkle on some crumbled feta cheese, which adds a nice salty flavor from the brine. Sprinkle on some fresh cracked black pepper to balance out the salt, and finally drizzle on some Sriracha sauce for a nice jolt of heat. This one is the perfect pick-me up with a kick!
The combination of flavors in this next toast have been paired together a couple times on my blog. Once in my Avocado Egg Rolls, and again for a crostini topping.
I switched it up a bit and used a sun dried tomato pesto for the base, which brings a bold flavor to the crispy toast. I topped it with some diced California Avocado, a little chopped cilantro and a sprinkle of sea salt. You’ll love this savory pick-me up!
For those that love a good trail mix, this next toast is for you!
I loved this one so much! The creamy California Avocado slices were the perfect base for the salted cashews that added a delicious crunch. The sweetened craisins added a nice bright pop of flavor, and the chia seeds are great for keeping you full! This toast is a great after school snack for kids, and perfect for after a workout!
This last toast is full of big flavors. Each one pairs perfectly together to make one out of this world toast!
I like to think this one is for when you get that sweet tooth craving. The base is a creamy mashed California Avocado that’s topped with sweet and juicy sliced strawberries. The crumbled goat cheese adds a touch of creamy with a tang, and the balsamic glaze that’s drizzled over top brings a splash of sweetened vinegar that brightens the whole toast.
It’s hard to decide which on I like the best. Especially since they all take just a few minutes to make and taste so great, each in their own right. You definitely need to try them, and let me know which one you like the best!
