These Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings are just two ingredients and ready in 20 minutes!pinterestOver New Year’s break we had some friends staying with us for a couple days. One night we decided on wings for dinner because they had raved about a Lemon Pepper wing that they always get in California. We ordered some wings from a local place and they were… well, they were just ok.

They promised that the ones they normally get were a lot better, so I set out to see if I could create a Lemon Pepper wing that blow our socks off.

Make chicken wings quick and easy in the Air Fryer with this super simple recipe!

I’ve been obsessed with using my Air Fryer these last few months and it was the perfect way to quickly and easily make these Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings.

Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

  • All you need is a good Lemon Pepper seasoning and chicken wings!
  • You can buy the whole wing and separate them yourself, discard the wing tips.
  • I found wings that were already separated, making this recipe even quicker and easier!

Place the seasoned wings in your air fryer and watch how crispy and juicy they become!

All you need to do is toss the wings in the Lemon Pepper seasoning (I used McCormick) and place them in the basket of your air fryer.

I have the NuWave Brio 6 quart Digital Air Fryer.

Air Fryer Chicken Wings

  • Place the wings in an even layer in the air fryer for the quickest cooking time.
  • Preheat the air fryer for about 3 to 5 minutes prior to cooking. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat setting, just turn the air fryer to the desired temperature for 5 minutes.
  • Cook the wings for 10 minutes, then flip and finish cooking for another 10 minutes.

A pan of food on a grill, with Chicken and Lemon pepper

The wings get a nice crispy coating and stay super juicy and tender on the inside!

These wings are great for a quick snack, an easy dinner or great for game day.

Dry Rub Chicken Wing Seasoning Options:

Think how many options there are with this simple dry rub method!

  • Use your favorite spice blends to make out of this world wings like:
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Greek seasoning
  • Taco seasoning
  • Try sprinkling with garlic powder, salt and black pepper

OMG! These Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings are made in the air fryer in just 20 minutes and taste SO GOOD!

Dip the wings in ranch dressing and serve with carrot and celery sticks for a winning combination.

These wings will definitely blow you away. Crispy seasoned skin on the outside and a juicy chicken on the inside. YUM!

This is the best airfryer recipe hands down.My 3rd time of making these. The chicken wings are crispy and juicy just like you said.So simple to make but yet Sooooo delicious..Thank you for a great lemon pepper recipe

    1. Shawn, just a comment about your recipe. You recommend discarding the tip section of the wing. I take the tip section and season them just as the other sections. Cook them long enough to crisp it all the way through including the bones. When they’re done just right, you can pop the whole section in your mouth and the bones will disintegrate with a unique flavor. My bunch fights over them. You may have to experiment time and temperature wise to find that just right crispness, but you’ll find it well worth the effort.

    1. No, there is no oil in this recipe. The skin on the wings will create a delicious crisp crust without the use of any oil.

    1. I use fresh wings for this recipe. If your wings are frozen, just let them thaw out first.

My original dinner plan (fish) flopped and I only had half an hour left to come up with something. A quick search on my Air Fryer Recipes board landed me on this recipe : I have a air fryer, 2 lbs of washed and padded dried chicken wings, and voila, Lemon Pepper !
I followed Shawn’s recipe to a T, and half and hour later, we sat down to enjoy a very tasty Air Fried Lemon Chicken Wings dinner ! Crispy skin on the outside and juicy inside, YUM !

I made this recipe tonight for the 2 of us. Used 5 strips, about 1/2 pound. Halved the recipe for rub. I didn’t have the lemon pepper seasoning, so I took a large lemon and used the zest and some season pepper in place of it. They were small strips, so I cooked 8 min. flipped and 10 min on the other side. They were soooo good. Perfect with the Asian Salad mix I had on hand. Quick, easy, delicious recipe! Thanks.

Another option for seasoning the wings is middle-eastern zataar seasoning—it is my “go-to.” I imagine curry powder would work well, too. And thyme is awesome with chicken (and a major component of zataar)
