It’s hard to find the perfect pear. I always seem to find pears that are hard like an apple and super grainy.
So when I received this beautiful gift basket from Harry & David filled with gorgeous pears, I was hesitant to take a big bite. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. Their pears are at the peak of perfection. So juicy and soft as it melts in your mouth.
I’m a Harry & David pear convert.
If you’re looking for the perfect gift to send to a loved one this Holiday season, then look to Harry & David. They have gobs and gobs of mouthwatering gift baskets that will put a smile on any face… and they know it too!
As soon as you open the box you will be in shock at how much care is put into making sure each and every basket is special.
Golden wrapped pears, beautiful ribbon bows…
and even a little card to let you know who packed it!
Talk about feeling special!
There are so many precious gifts in this one basket, and all taste oh-so amazing.
And then there are even more pears underneath it all! BONUS!!
I took these deliciously juicy pears and made a Pear, Goat Cheese and Honey Tart.
It’s a simple and extremely tasty appetizer or even dessert that everyone will love. The combination of the pears and goat cheese is heavenly. It’s mildly sweet with a creamy smooth taste, then made just a tad sweeter with some honey drizzled on top.
Just look at how juicy these pears are! I am wishing I still had some left… time to order another basket!
Cut some pears into thin slices and layer them onto a sheet of puff pastry dough.
Top the pears with a little goat cheese then bake until the puff pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Once it’s pulled out of the oven, drizzle a little honey over the top.
Cut the tart into strips, or slices and serve warm. It makes for a delicious appetizer or even a decadent dessert.
I love this.
My kids loved it.
You will love this.
Promise.

This looks SO good! Your pics are beautiful, I wish I had a slice right now! I’ve never added goat cheese to a tart but it sounds amazing especially with pears. Very fancy =).
