I’m sure by now you know about my obsession with fresh guacamole.

There is nothing better than a fresh batch of homemade guacamole!













My kids gobble this stuff up!

There is nothing they love more than a ripe avocado {and who can blame them??} 













This amazing recipe includes nothing but fresh produce!

Start of with 4 avocados. You’ll want them soft to the touch, but not mushy.
















Cut them in half and use 4 halves to chop up and squeeze the juice of one lime into the pile of chopped avocado.













Use a fork to mash the avocado and lime till it’s almost smooth.













Cut a jalapeno in half and remove the seeds.

Note: You’ll want to wear gloves, or use a spoon to scoop out the seeds! Beware of using your fingers!! You’ll feel as though your hands are on fire! {speaking from experience}













Dice up the jalapeno into tiny pieces.













Cut up 6 cherry tomatoes.

I like it chunky by the way!













Now to dice an onion in just a few simple slices follow these steps:

Cut the top and bottom off the onion, and slice in half vertically.













Place the half face down and make several slices with a sharp knife, making sure to leave about 1/2 an inch uncut on the back {to hold it together}.













Now slice the opposite direction of the first slices and make your way towards the back of the onion. Like so…













Simple way to dice up an onion!













Ok, back to the guacamole…

To the mashed avocado add the jalapeno, minced garlic, tomatoes, onion, and a few sprigs of chopped cilantro, and the rest of the avocado chopped up.

Like I said, I prefer it chunky!

{if you prefer a smoother guacamole you can put everything into a food processor and blend it until you achieve your desired consistency}













Give it all a good mix…













Oh yes…that is what mama likes…

  • 4 Avocados
  • 6 cherry tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 medium purple onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • 8 sprigs of cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tsp salt


  • Cut up two avocados and place in a bowl, add the juice of one lime. Mash with a fork.
  • Add the rest of the avocados (chopped), tomatoes, jalapeno, garlic, onion, cilantro and salt. Give it all a good mix. Enjoy!
