With the Holidays right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking gifts.
And parties.
So to help you out, I am going to share two full weeks of Holiday Recipes, Gift Ideas, and LOADS of GIVEAWAYS with you!
To kick off this festive Holiday Gift Guide, I am going to show you two great gift ideas, and three Simple Crostini Topper Recipes.
What is a crostini?
They are simply little toasts topped with various sorts of deliciousness. Since they are so small, the toppings have to pack a punch.
I took a few of my favorite flavors and made an out of this world party platter combo.
Don’t you just love this Pfaltzgraff three section divided serving dish? It’s the perfect way to present your gorgeous appetizers to your holiday guests. Pair that with a matching serving platter and you’re set to party! {hint: I’m giving the set away below!}
These are great hostess gifts, and perfect for those who love to party. The beautiful Scarlett Pattern is perfect for the holidays and also subtle enough for entertaining all year long.
Let’s get back to the crostinis…
Grab a baguette from the store and slice them thin and at a slight angle.
Now you’ll brush them with olive oil.
But wait!
You have a TON of little toasts, and brushing each and every one can be time consuming.
So why brush when you can spray?!
With the Misto you can use your favorite type of olive oil to evenly spray on just the right amount. It’s a perfect way to coat skillets, top salads, and prep veggies for the grill. {double hint: I’m giving one of these away too}
After you spray your little toasts with olive oil, sprinkle them with some salt and bake till golden brown and crisp.
While the bread is toasting, you can quickly whip up these tiny toast toppers.
Each one is no more than 4 ingredients, and comes together in no time.
The first topper is a mixture of Avocado, Cilantro, Sun Dried Tomatoes, and a little sea salt. It’s basically the filling to my Avocado Egg Rolls. The ripe avocados and sun dried tomatoes pair perfectly to make a creamy topping to the crisped bread.
Next is the favorite among my family. It’s an odd combination, but the Pomegranate, Blue Cheese and Pine Nuts come together to make a delicious pop in your mouth. The blue cheese brings that smokey and rich texture while the pomegranate has that tart punch that contrasts with the cheese so well. You could toast the pine nuts, or leave them plain, either way tastes great.
The last of the trio is a Caprese Topper. It’s simple with Tomatoes, Mozzarella, sliced Basil and a drizzle of Balsamic Glaze over top. It’s a fresh and tasty topping that everyone loves.
These are great appetizers for all those holiday parties coming up. It brings everyone close together while they are topping their toasts and the conversation alive.
So if you have someone on your list {which can include you} who loves to throw parties, then consider buying the Pfaltzgraff Scarlett 3 Section Oval Tray (on Amazon for just $19.99) and the Pfaltzgraff Scarlett Rectangular Tray (on Amazon for just $29.99).
If you’re looking the perfect stocking stuffer, then you need to check out the Misto Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer. It’s perfect for those who love to cook, and totally budget friendly (only $9.98 on Amazon).

Shawn, if you weren’t already married, I would propose on the spot. Last night I, the early planner, was trying to come up with the menu for our annual Christmas party. I was bummed that not only did I want to do more than one type, I dreaded the assembly of last year. This idea is great!

I find the pomegranate one very interesting! I’m not a huge basil or avacado fan, so the others aren’t as appealing for me, but the bluecheese and pinenuts and pomegranate is a very interesting combo. 🙂
Hayley @ The Domestic Rebel
