It’s been difficult to not have Internet access at my fingertips for the past week.
We made the long {two whole days} trek across country to a tiny little town in the middle of Kansas.
I think I lost my desire for cooking somewhere between Oklahoma and Texas…
Going from a large city with a large house {with an actual kitchen}, to an itty bitty town, and an even itty-bitty-er kitchen has not been ideal for my meal plans {or for the Man, who feels deprived of decent food}.
I am getting re-acquainted with my culinary skills…so no worries, you’ll be getting some new recipes soon!!
Here is the skinny on my new situation:
Since the Man has been working out of town for the past two years {stinkin’ economy!}, we decided it would be best for the family if we all travelled together.
So we packed up all our stuff and put it away in storage {even the washer and dryer}. We took just the essentials with us in our 5th wheel trailer, and away we went!
Hopefully you’ll enjoy some of my new adventures.
If not, there are always the recipes!
Girl #2 has been enjoying the trip…eating Cheerios…who wouldn’t love that?
Getting clean clothes means a trip in town to the local laundromat. Thank goodness for the old school arcade games! Girl #1 and Boy #1 are enjoying every minute!!
I have some good things planned for this week; Scallops, BBQ Pulled Pork, and maybe a simple treat or two!
Thanks for being patient with this new small town girl…

Life is an adventure. Right now I am feeling like a Small Town gal in a Big Town World. We are vacationing in Phoenix for a week. However, this past 6 mo. we have lived in a 500 sq. ft. apt. while our home is being built. Will probably be there another 6 mo. There are times I must admit, life is simple in such a place. Enjoy this time with your hubby and kids…they are most important!

Have fun! Can't wait to read about what your new life has in store!

I feel your pain!!! We lived (me, 3 kids, husband, dog) in our 5th wheel for 6 months while building our house. You learn to get creative with your space and the crockpot!! Good luck;)
